Hand-build sculpture. Raku fired.

Inspired by the stone that is formed when lava flow meets the sea. I lived long ago under Mount Etna, an active volcanoe in Sicily, Italy.

Approximate dimensions: 17 cm tall. 17 cm diameter.

Note: "Raku" is a special (and very exciting) firing technique. Raku pottery is porous. It CANNOT hold water.
